Motel Directory

This sample shows two pages from a motel directory that is composed using a data base input file. There are no composition controls in the file. Note the use of merged art files and of PostScript color. The Versacomp application program that composed these pages issues notices outside the print area to warn of excessive descriptive copy for each motel and for an excessive number of “amenities and programs” symbols. The proofers may then decide to edit and rerun the job. File size is 59K.

Telephone Directory

This sample shows a page from a street index telephone directory. The directory is composed using a data base input file. There are no composition controls in the file. File size is 37K.

Locator Code Index

This one page sample is from an index into product information on microfilm cartridges. This also is a data base application. File size is 20K.

Technical Publishing

This sample is Chapter 18 from the "Versacomp Language Reference Manual". It shows the use of bookmarks, PostScript color and PDF overlays. The chapter is 48 pages long; file size is 194K.
